L. Arts: I did lessons in my reading program. I practiced flash cards and did some handwriting practice. I did Reading Eggs. I read mini books and started in a new reader for my lessons. We got to go to Thanksgiving Point and listen to some storytellers who were part of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival.
Math: I practiced finishing number patterns, like which numbers come next or come before a number. We also practiced putting numbers in order with different number cards, then we played Memory and War with the number cards.
Science: We learned about the parts of a cell. We made a model of a cell out of a giant cookie. Then we ate the cookie. We have a co-op science class and in that we learned about states of matter.
History: We learned about the Israelites. We also learned about Akkadia and Sargon. His story is a lot like Moses’ story of being found in a river and raised by a queen.
Music: Learned about major scales. Learned a new song called the Barnyard Boogie. Practiced the songs we can do with our bells including the scale. Practiced hand signs for Solfege.
Tech (Engineering): I made a little guy at co-op. I learned about levers and built a see-saw out of Engino. I got a new lego set and built that, too.
