Mali Week 4

L. Arts: I did some lessons in my reading program. I practiced my letter flash cards and my word flashcards. I watched my Leapfrog Letter Sounds video and also one of my Rusty & Rosy letter sounds songs videos. We got to go to Thanksgiving Point and listen to some storytellers who were part of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival.

Math: I practiced finishing number patterns, like which numbers come next or come before a number. We also practiced putting numbers in order with different number cards, then we played Memory and War with the number cards.

Science: We learned about the parts of a cell. We made a model of a cell out of a giant cookie. Then we ate the cookie. We have a co-op science class and in that we learned about states of matter.

History: We learned about the Israelites. We also learned about Akkadia and Sargon. His story is a lot like Moses’ story of being found in a river and raised by a queen.

Music: Learned about major scales. Learned a new song called the Barnyard Boogie. Practiced the songs we can do with our bells including the scale. Practiced hand signs for Solfege.:

Tech (Engineering): I made a bracelet and a little doll in my Make It class at co-op. I got a new lego set and built it. I did almost all of it by myself and it was my first time.

A tea party I set up for my toys

At co-op we had a frozen water balloon we got to pass around as an
example of a SOLID

We learned about how the molecules in a solid don't move around, they just
stand in formation and vibrate

New Lego sets!
