Mali- I learned the phonograph “CH”. I did an activity with a mouse gathering cards with a picture of cheese on them and different CH words. I did some Reading Eggs.
Max- I did some lessons in my language arts program. I wrote some sentences. I read some poems.
Math-
We learned about exponential growth. Mom gave us an example if she gave us 1 cent on the first day of the month and then doubled that each day. By the end of the month it was up in the millions. We played games, include Buy It Right, Exploding Kittens, and Yahtzee.
Mali- I did some number bond/subtraction problems in my workbook. I also did some Dreambox activities.
Max- I did a lot of Dreambox. Some of the activities were about sorting shapes based on their characteristics. Other ones had doing leaps of a certain number to get to a target number, like how many leaps of 9 does it take to get to 27.
History-

History-
We didn’t have a history lesson this week, but we did celebrate Mister Rogers’ birthday and watch Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and have cupcakes. He is a key figure in history so that can count.
Science-
Science-
For science this week we did some of the missions with our Turing Tumble. We also learned about the coronavirus and how soap is really good at killing it if people wash their hands thoroughly. We also did some snap circuits, which maybe also counts as engineering/tech.

Our teacher recorded the lesson and we watched it at home via Marco Polo. We played the “leaps” on our bells of Froggy Went a Hoppin’. We identified the different note lengths of the animal steps for the Jungle Rhythm song. One elephant step equals two lion steps, four monkey steps, or eight cicada steps.
Engineering (Tech):
Engineering (Tech):
We got a Marble Run set that works with Duplos so we built a couple of different marble runs. Mom helped with one and our brother Clive helped with another. We also did some sewing to make bottle carriers for our water bottles for when we go on hikes.

We are doing the Great Provo Scavenger Hunt and one of the challenges was a stack of pennies at least 30 pennies tall |
