This week we did something different that we haven't done before. My mom took us to the library and gave us a scavenger hunt of tasks to do. It was mostly finding different kinds of books. It was fun but hard and it took a while. Afterwards we went out for lunch and boba.
My mom and I had a lot of fun taking photos with our microscope. We also played a game with Mali and Leif where people would leave the room and the other person would take a picture and they'd come back in and have to guess what it was. You can try and guess the ones below if you want. Answers at the bottom.

Something fun I did this week was learn how to make a potholder on a loom. I also had my mom teach me the basic crochet stitch. It was super tricky to get the hang of holding it at first but a lot easier after my hands figured out what to do.
In music class we learned about the line note names on the treble clef. We recently learned about sharps, flats, and naturals.
We played some fun games this week. We got a new game called "A Little Wordy" where you make a word using your 11 letter tiles (you don't have to use all of them) and then the other person uses clues and makes guesses to try and figure it out. We also played Konexi and SkyJo. We played SkyJo with our dad while he was at the laundromat. He likes to do his clothes once a month so he goes there to use the giant washer and dryer.
We also went on a picnic up Hobble Creek Canyon and a hike up Provo Canyon. The fall leaves are so pretty.
We practiced writing by writing a paragraph about two fun things we did this month.
This week in science we learned about membranes. A cool experiment they showed us that we want to do is to dissolve the shell of an egg and then you place the egg in either water or corn syrup. Because the membrane of the egg is semipermeable, it allows water to flow in and out of it. Then you can move the egg into the other liquid and the opposite thing will happen. Really cool!
This week we went to the Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point. I liked trying out the marble labyrinth they had. I got one of them first try and my mom had to try 3 times. They also had these balance board mazes that were pretty hard to do even though mazes on them were small. We also had fun arranging the pipe pieces in the water area.
We went to the Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point. They have a new exhibit up about mazes. They had some neat ones. One of them had you hook yourself to a rope and try and go around, under, and over all these other ropes. We also had fun playing outside on the playground.
