Mali - Week 32

We went on a road trip. We went to southern Utah and northern Arizona. My favorite thing we saw was Meteor Crater. One thing I really liked was that we saw a cute little lizard on the rocks there and got to watch it for a few minutes. It blended in really well so it was tricky to spot.

See if you can find the lizard in this picture

Max - Week 32

We went on a road trip last week to southern Utah and Arizona. We went to Arches National Park, Petrified Forest National Park, and Meteor Crater. We also stopped at Bluff Fort and got to learn about the Hole-in-the-Rock pioneers. It was neat to learn that history. I really liked Meteor Crater and the meteor simulator they had we could play around with.

Before we left on our trip,  my mom and I played Three Sticks this week. It was fun. You make different polygons and get points from the perimeter and also the type of shape. Shapes with more sides

Max - Week 31

In math we practiced more addition facts to 15. We got to play Spot It one day as part of math which was fun. We learned to play a game called Corners where you get points when you make 5s, 10s, 15s or 20s.

I finished reading book 5 of the Bone series. I did my language arts lessons. I am memorizing a poem. I practiced spelling words and handwriting and did pages in Explode the Code.

I did some coding for BitsBox.

We went swimming at the rec center and it was really fun. We also got to go to a park one day.

Mali - Week 31

On Monday I sewed a snake. My mom had sewn some for my older siblings years ago and I thought it would be fun to do one. She helped me make a pattern but then I did almost all of the sewing. I made a mistake and cut too close to the seams so I had to patch up a couple of little holes, but I learned some things so next time I won't have as many problems.

In my Toe By Toe I worked on silent e and how it makes the vowel in front of it say its name.

In math we practiced more addition facts to 15. We got to play Spot It one day as part of math which was fun. We learned to play a game called Corners where you get points when you make 5s, 10s, 15s or 20s.

I learned about silent e making the vowel before it say its name. We made some superhero e cards to remember that it makes the other letters feel brave so they can say their names. I practiced silent e nonsense words in my Toe By Toe.

We went to the all abilities playground in Spanish Fork. The zipline there is not very fun but the big seated swings are really fun.

A close up I took of Good Luck bear.

We watched Captain Marvel and I drew this picture of Goose
