Week 7

BOTH:
This week we finished Life of Fred: Apples. We did a math activity where we used our base 10 blocks to build different numbers and also identified numbers that mom built with the blocks. 

In science we learned more about chemical reactions. We tried making a potato battery but our potatoes didn't work. We were able to make a battery using bowls of vinegar though. 

In history we learned about early Islam and about Muhammad and his vision. We also learned about the 5 pillars of Islam. 

We went up to Big Springs  Park on Monday to get our dad's jacket that he had forgotten last weekend. We took our hammocks and hung them from the trees. It was fun.

In music class we are playing along with Old Paint, Three Blind Mice, and the Intervals are Turtle Shells songs on the piano. We earned four stickers in our homework practice books so we got to go out for boba drinks with mom. 

MALI: I did more Toe By Toe lessons. I also practiced handwriting. I am making a paper mache pumpkin craft. I learned how to use the self timer on my camera. 

MAX: I read more in Flat Stanley in Space. I went over OI and OY words in my language arts lessons. I started typing lessons on Typing.com and I liked it so I will do more of those
