Week 11

We went and saw a play at the Scera this week. It was a Sleepy Hollow story. It was fun. 

We also went to a halloween party at the park. 

We learned about China and Mongolia this week. We also learned about Tank Man and the Tiananmen Square protest/massacre. 

We went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. 

We did TTRS for typing practice. 

Mali: In math this week I worked on subtraction. I finished the Henry and Mudge book I was reading.

Max: In math this week I finished Decimals.

Week 10

We went up to South Fork park in Provo Canyon and explored and played frisbee and had a picnic lunch. We went to the chemistry magic show at BYU for Chemistry Week. It was fun. Mali and our dad both got to help with demonstration experiments. No Makerspace this week because it was on fall break. 

Max: I am still reading Captain Underpants. I finished the fractions unit in math this week. 

Mali: Still working on my math review. I did some drawings this week on the iPad.

Week 9

 In geography we learned about India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. We went to the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We also had our makerspace class this week. We did some salt art for craft club. 

Max: I am working on adding and subtracting fractions in Math. I finished the Stick Dog book I was reading and started reading Captain Underpants.

Mali: I am still working through the math reviews. I am reading more Henry and Mudge books. 

Week 8

 At Makerspace this week one of the activities was making catapults. We learned about more of the -stan countries for geography. We went to the Butterfly Biosphere. We went on a walk up the canyon to enjoy the fall leaves. We went on a bike ride and fed some of the ducks in the river. We learned about King James and Guy Fawkes in history this week.
