Max week 17

Language Arts: I read these books in the I See Sam series: Nat Sits, Nat, Mat in the Sun, and Run Feet Run. I did Reading Eggs lessons 55-59. I also did language arts lesson #30 with Mom.

Math: I practiced counting up to 20. I also played Uno with my brother and sister. I did some activities on MathSeeds. 

Tumbling & Trampolining:  We practiced our jumps, stretches and rolls. I practiced my back bridge at home this week, too. I’m not as good as my sister at the bridge but I was still happy to be able to do it even though it is hard.

Other: Our grandparents took us to the BYU Museum of Art and they have an exhibit of these sticks that are made into cool shapes. Then we went and had lunch.

Mali Week 17

Language Arts: I read these books in the I See Sam series: Sit on It and Sis. I did Reading Eggs lessons 26-29. I also did language arts lesson #30 with Mom. 

Math: I practiced counting up to 20. I also played Uno with my brothers. I made 10 rows of 10 lines and then had mom help me count by tens up to 100. 

Tumbling & Trampolining: We practiced our jumps, stretches and rolls. I practiced my back bridge at home this week, too. I usually forget to practice at home but we have a mat that I got out so it was easier to practice. 

Other: Our grandparents took us to the BYU Museum of Art and they have an exhibit of these sticks that are made into cool shapes. They made me think of little houses.

Mali - Week 16

Language Arts: We did lessons 28 and 29 in our Language Arts program with mom. We did fly swatter words on the white board. We did a few lessons on Reading Eggs. Mom read more of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to us. I read mom 2 books from the I See Sam series.

Math: We did some practice with adding and counting. We also played Sum Swamp.

Tumbling & Trampolining: Practiced backwards rolls, our different jumps, and all of our streches. There were only 4 kids at class this week so we had lots of chances to practice everything.

Other: We had a co-op Christmas party with a gift exchange. Our teacher from our Natural Wonders class gave us all a copy of a book with information and pictures about all the natural wonders we learned about this semester, and some pictures from class in the back. We got to go to Classic Fun Center with mom and dad and their primary class from church for their end of the year party.

Week 14-15 - Mali

Language Arts: This week we did a few lessons on Reading Eggs. We also did some of our Language Arts lessons with Mom. We watched the Letter Factory video. I read an I See Sam book to mom. Mom started reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to us on CS Lewis’s birthday. We practiced our handwriting in our new handwriting workbooks.

Math: We practiced counting and did addition. We used our math blocks to make 6 walls and 10 walls and patterns. We did some MathSeeds activities on the computer.

Tumbling & Trampolining: We didn’t have class the week of Thanksgiving but did have it this last week. We practiced our different jumps, did stretches, and other things.

Other: It was the last week of Dinovember so we went to the BYU Paleontology Museum for a field trip. We also watched the broadcast of the Mars Insight landing. At co-op we learned about kangaroos in one class, a big waterfall in another class, and the brain in our human body class. Kangaroos can jump 20-30 feet in a single leap.

At co-op we jumped as far as we could and marked it on a rope.
