Music:
Our homework was to listen to Triumphant March and fill in the missing themes with the pictures. At class we listened to the Froggy Went A Hoppin' song and got to hop around like crazy frogs. It was fun.
History:
We learned about Alexander the Great. He conquered the largest area anyone ever had up to that point. He became the ruler at age 20 and died at age 32, and he spent most of those years conquering territory with his army. We also went to UVU and saw the Roots of Knowledge stained glass window. It is really neat and has so many things in history. We saw quite a few people and places that we have learned about. It was fun to spot modern things that we recognized in the windows as well.
Science:
we learned about the spine and made a model of a spine using string, spools, and gummy life savers. The life savers represented the discs that are made of cartilage and are between the vertebrae so they don’t get worn down. We watched BrainPop videos on the spinal cord and the nervous system.
L. Arts:
MAX - I did the Unit Assessment for Unit 1. I did really good with all of the reading but need more practice on most of the spelling words. I read some stories from the reader.
